Teaching Classrooms (E-Classrooms)

Service Description

All College classrooms are outfitted with various audio visual and computer equipment designed to enhance the teaching & learning experience.   There are two major types of E-Classrooms used at Confederation College:

  1. Standard E-Classroom

this type of e-classroom is what is typically found across the College.  The room consists of a single projector, screen, podium/lectern, computer, DVD/VHS, and wall-mounted user control panel.

  1. Videoconference E-Classroom

This type of e-classroom is primarily meant for use with videoconference-based classes.  The room technology consists of 2 projectors/screens, a large podium/lectern, Polycom videoconference unit, computer, DVD/Blu-Ray/VHS unit, document camera, and podium mounted Crestron user control panel.

College E-classroom technology is all supported through the Computer Services Help Desk which may be contacted by calling 475-6488 (ext. 6488), or by e-mail at [email protected].

All College employees and students

Access and Availability

All College classrooms are typically open during normal building hours and are booked through the College’s central Scheduling Office.  Ad-hoc room bookings can be made through the Scheduling Office.  Please note that for ad-hoc videoconferences, in addition to the room booking through the Scheduling Office, a requestor must also make arrangements through the Computer Services Help Desk to arrange the videoconference connection itself.
