The Foot Care Nurse program is designed for nurses (RN’s and RPN’s) new to foot care and for experienced foot care nurses who wish to update their knowledge and skills. The program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to function as a foot care nurse within a health care team. This comprehensive, advanced and diabetic foot care program follows current Best Practice Guidelines and evidence-based practice.

Part 1 is administered by Foot Care Kingston and is completed through online studies. This course provides material and guidance for theory-based learning. You will complete online assignments and view pre-recorded webinars from your own work/home computer. A mark of 75% is required for each of the assignments plus a test based on the webinars, to successfully complete Part 1.

Registration for Part 1 is now open and students must register with Foot Care Kingston.

Part 2 is administered by Confederation College and provides practical learning opportunities for you to practice your foot care skills. You will receive mentorship and complete hands-on clinical training at Confederation College in Thunder Bay, Ontario with an onsite Foot Care Nurse Educator. Part 2 will be offered June 4-8th, 2018 at Confederation College.  Please visit the Continuing Education Shopping Cart to register after December 1, 2017

Only students who have successfully completed part 1 can register for part 2 with Confederation College so we encourage you to register for the next available Part 1 through Footcare Kingston.
