Kelly-Anne Leroux

Professor

Kelly-Anne Leroux is a Professor in Human Resources (HR) in the School of Business at Confederation College. She began teaching part-time in the HR programs in 2013 and 2014, sharing her experiences in Collective Bargaining, Occupational Health and Safety, Employment Equity and Pay Equity Law and Human Resources Planning. Kelly-Anne was hired in 2018 in the Human Resources program and currently teaches International Human Resources, Pay Equity and Employment Equity Law, Recruitment and Selection, Human Rights in Employment and Introduction to Human Resources.

Professor Leroux brings to the classroom more than 20 years of professional experience in HR roles in diverse sectors including: environmental consulting, construction, pulp and paper, social services, healthcare, indigenous community, and a multi-national company. Kelly-Anne always seemed to find herself rising to leadership roles, mentoring other managers with respect to best practices in resolving Human Resources issues, chairing various committees and most of all, developing relationships.

Kelly-Anne’s true passion is working with students – sharing her experiences so that students can grow to become HR professionals themselves. Kelly-Anne challenges each student to grow. Graduates of the program have expressed gratitude to her for teaching them the importance of professionalism, accountability and viewing challenges in a positive light.

Kelly-Anne holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Human Resources, is a Certified Human Resource Leader (CHRL), has an Osgoode Law School Labour Law Certificate and is a member of the Human Resource Professional Association (HRPA).

In her free time, Kelly-Anne enjoys spending time with her family and friends, practicing yoga and meditation, running, traveling, reading and experiencing new adventures.
