Confederation College Community Team Award 2026

Nominations Now Open

Every year, Confederation College recognizes a team within the College that has been nominated by their peers. Nominations are reviewed by the previous year’s winners and announced during our Confederation-Negahneewin Day celebration.

Do you know a TEAM working within the College Community that you think is deserving of recognition for what they do within our community? This team may be a pair, a trio or a group, keep in mind they do not have to work in the same department.

Team Award Criteria 2026

What is a TEAM? 
A group of people with a full set of complementary skills required to positively and collaboratively contribute to their community.

This award is designed to honour a team of employees working within the College community that exemplify the following characteristics:
 

Customer Service

  • exhibit approachable and friendly attitudes
  • keep a student focus
  • show enthusiasm for their jobs, and go above and beyond
  • act as ambassadors for their department and College
  • network with other departments and/or external agencies in a positive manner

Innovation

  • question the status quo to find better ways of doing things
  • exhibit a willingness to experiment, conceive, contribute, and work for the implementation of new ideas

Organizational Commitment

  • contribute to the College’s Values, Mission and Strategic Directions
  • demonstrate creativity and innovative thinking in meeting challenges
  • demonstrate a broad depth of knowledge and experience
  • demonstrate pride in working at Confederation College
  • exceed established objectives on a regular basis

Modeling College Values

  • act with respect, openness and caring
  • act with integrity and value diversity different ideas, views and perspectives
  • are good team players and help others to achieve their goals
  • support the common good
  • demonstrate collaborative decision making

 

Nominations will be accepted by email at [email protected] and should consist of a simple one page summary outlining who the team is and why they deserve the award using the criteria listed above.

Nominations will be accepted until April 30, 2026.

The recipients of the 2026 Team Award will be determined by our 2025 winners from CICE!

Winners will be presented at Confederation/Negahneewin Day on June 17, 2026.
