We are excited to announce that Sebastian Fuzzen has accepted the position of Temporary Manager, Facilities Services, beginning January 5, 2023.

Sebastian was born in Nelson, B.C and spent his early childhood in a variety of locations before settling in Crawford Bay, B.C. After completing high school, he took a year off to work and travel before enrolling in a two-year Construction Engineering Technology program at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) main campus in Edmonton, AB. He graduated with a diploma in 2007.

From his early years up to the present time Sebastian has been interested in buildings and construction. He has spent his lifetime of employment in the construction industry, as a pre-teen he was first introduced to carpentry by his dad while constructing their home. This passion and experience lead to summer carpentry jobs through his teenage years to adulthood which naturally assisted his transition into a Project Manager/Estimator for the past 15 years. His most notable employment was with GenMecACL in Bonnyville A.B from 2007-2009 and PerHol Construction Ltd. in Thunder Bay from 2010-2022

In addition to his extensive understanding of buildings and construction Sebastian brings with him a thorough understanding of the local construction industry as well as strong relationships with many local architects/engineers, general contractors, subtrades and suppliers. His experience managing commercial/institutional construction projects in Thunder Bay over the past decade will be an asset to Confederation College.

Outside of work Sebastian can often be found maintaining or upgrading his own properties. He recently completed an eight-month renovation of his “forever” home and moved in over Christmas with his wife Jen, son Edwyn (5) and daughter Sydney (2). Beyond family and building, Sebastian enjoys badminton, camping, fishing, gardening, and travel.

Please join me and the Facilities Services team in welcoming Sebastian to our College.
