Are you a faculty member that uses Universal Design Learning Practices (UDL)?

If so, Student Accessibility Services (SAS) would like to hear from you!

Have you implemented the following practices in your courses?

  • Provide flexible assignment deadlines
  • Post lecture slides/outlines on Blackboard prior to class to facilitate notetaking
  • Ensure captioning of audiovisual materials
  • Allow the recording of lectures
  • Use Blackboard Ally
  • Post course documents on Blackboard as .pdf or .doc to ensure compatibility with assistive technology
  • Give students full class time to complete tests/exams

Please reach out to SAS [email protected] to tell us how utilizing these practices (listed or otherwise) have worked for you.

If you are a faculty member who would like to learn more about UDL, contact SAS for information and resources.

By promoting principles of UDL, SAS desires to help Confederation College maintain compliance with AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) standards regarding accessible education.
