On Thursday, April 8, the Tourism - Travel and Eco-Adventure students where proud to host a virtual 50th Anniversary program celebration. The event was sponsored by Confederation College Alumni. This virtual event welcomed almost 100 participants with graduates from the 1970’s until the most recent graduating class in 2020. The 3-hour event was hosted by professor Matthew Villella and student Arsh Chahal.

It was kicked off by a wonderful rendition of O’Canada by student Chloe Rheaume. We want to thank President Kathleen Lynch who came to give greetings, and Program Coordinator Giannina Gasparotto, who reflected on her time with the program. The event saw two wonderful reflections from students Jory Mayer, a 2017 graduate and Kerry Berlinquette, a 1991 graduate.  The evening also included a fun trivia game hosted by Dean Richard Gemmill, and a fun session in breakout rooms which brought alumni together with their graduating class. Overall, a great event put on by the students of the Tourism - Travel and Eco-Adventure Program.

We would like to acknowledge the following students who helped with the planning and implementation of the event as part of the final graduating class for the Tourism - Travel and Eco-Adventure program: Als Alias, Amber Bouchard, Nicholas Buckell, Kaitlyn Caruso, Arsh Chahal, Dylan Champman, Amanda Connell, Sorav Dabur, Emily Foley Michaela Hollinger, Harshpreet Kaur, Jaeheon Kim, Justin Kuriakose, Faizan Mohammed, Chole Rheaume, Davinder Singh, Gurminderbir Singh, Sukhraj Singh, Brad Stanley, Hadeel Toubaji, Tam Linh Troung, Rebecca Vacca and Cleo Young.
