We are very pleased to announce that Oak Medical Arts will be our new on-campus health provider.  Oak has been providing services in Thunder Bay since 2014 and is locally owned and operated. They have six locations across the city including pharmacies and health care services.

Students and staff may be familiar with Oak as they assisted us in Covid testing during the pandemic.

Since 2011, our on-campus Health Centre provider has been Lakehead Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic.  We are grateful for their many years of service.  Their contract ended and as a result, we were required as a Broader Public Sector organization to conduct a competitive tendering process (RFP).  After completing this process, the contract was awarded to Oak.

The Health Centre will close on December 23, 2022 for the Christmas holidays and Oak Medical Arts will take over the clinic as of January 4, 2023.

There will be no change to the services offered at the Health Centre. The booking process will remain the same for now. Anyone wishing to book an appointment may call Sandy Tafe, Health Services Assistant at (807) 475-6169.

Our current Nurse Practitioner, Vivian Siciliano, will be away for a winter vacation and will return to the clinic in the spring.  Services will continue to be provided by either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Registered Nurse (RN), in her place in the meantime.

A new online booking system will be launched in the new year, and we will provide updated information regarding this process as it becomes available.
