Employees, students and members of the public, get ready to shop for Christmas during our MARKETS DAYS! First-year students in the Marketing, Accounting, Business Fundamentals and HR programs will be hosting “Market Days” November 21-25th in the Shuniah Student Commons and outside Ryan Hall as part of the Enterprise Challenge, a fundraising project, all in support of Stock the Bank. It is the first time we have been back together on campus to hold this Challenge face to face again, since November of 2019!

To successfully complete the Enterprise Challenge, each student must first develop their own sustainable enterprise which starts with writing an individual code of ethics using the Seven Sacred Teachings. Students then work together in teams to create a basic marketing plan, manufacture a new product using repurposed or upcycled materials and promote the sale of that new product.

The marketing students have been very creative! Products for sale include but are not limited to the following:

  • Christmas ornaments
  • Clothing & accessories
  • Home decor
  • Jewellery
  • Glassware
  • Bath and beauty products
  • Candles
  • Wood crafts
  • Pet supplies
  • And much, much more!

There will be 24 groups setting up shop for the week, selling to the college community. The public is also invited to stop in and do some shopping in support of a great cause.

The market will be open November 21st until November 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30p.m. each day in the Shuniah Student Lounge and outside Ryan Hall. Students will be selling at various times during this week.

Make sure you stop by to support our students in their learning and to support our Emergency Student Food Bank!
