Confederation College Negahneewin Student Servies, Lakehead University, Oshki-Pimache-O-Win; The Wenjack Institute, will welcome and celebrate the 9th Annual Maadaadizi Orientation event on Saturday, September 9, 2022 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm at Marina Park (Festival Area).

 

“Maadaadizi” - meaning “starts a journey” in Ojibwe - is designed to connect Indigenous students and their families to the supports and services of the post-secondary educational institutions in the city and to help orient them to the City of Thunder Bay. This free event is open to everyone and will feature a variety of information booths from local schools and community organizations along with children’s activities. Students will also enjoy free food and a chance to win prizes.

 

Headlining the event will be entertainers Ernest Monias, Nick Sherman, Sara Kae and Emceed by Brent “Moose Legs” Edwards.  The event will take place, rain or shine.
