Lakehead Public Schools International Student Program hosts students from around the world.  They have a severe shortage of homestay families right now with 15 students from Spain/Germany/Chile still without a place to stay (ages 14-18). They are desperately trying to place these students and need the support of the community at this point to help find homes. Without a placement (within the week), these students will have to remain in their home countries.

The requirements are 3 meals a day, a private room with a door, a window, a bed and a desk, and including the student in your family home life. Hosts are compensated to offset costs. You will receive $750 per month to cover expenses as well as a $150 bonus

Interested?  Contact Steven Johnson, the International Student Coordinator, or Homestay Coordinator from MLI Homestay, Lisa Hill to coordinate becoming a host.
