YES!  We must be mindful of the boundaries of intellectual property in order to avoid its unauthorized use and any legal accountability.

Scanning a book or pictures for student lessons or staff PD, photocopy handouts, downloading videos to share in workshops are all examples that could be classified as copyright infringement.

Luckily, you don’t need an attorney to help you navigate those legal waters.  Your Library is a port of sanity in what may seem a sea of confusion.

The Copyright Hub found within The Learning Portal on the Library website is a  self-directed learning resource for all College employees.  Here, questions are answered and solutions given on best practices in acquiring licensed works for educational and training purposes.
