During this difficult time for Ukraine, many people are looking for an example to inspire, and the following is one.

Ruslan Baryspol is a young man who came to study to Canada in 2019. Ruslan is a very modest and shy person, but he has a big heart and courage.  When the war has broke out, he bought a plane ticket and returned back home to the Zhytomyr region.  His mother and younger brother were forced to flee the war, but his father remained at home, who needed help not only with the household but also with work.  Ruslan's father is the head of an agricultural company.  Land cultivation is a sacred duty for every Ukrainian.  It is difficult to explain, but the land has always been the biggest value for Ukrainians.  Canadians are well aware that it was the Ukrainians who brought spring wheat to Canada, and most modern farmers in Canada, especially in the agricultural provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, are third or fourth-generation Ukrainians.

These days, Ruslan works in the field and helps Ukraine cultivate the land and sow grain. He often hears distant explosions of bombs and missiles from the cab of his tractor, but the work does not stop because the land cannot wait. After working a shift of 24 hours, he has a day off and returns to work.  Everyone's contribution is very important now. Doctors, teachers, firefighters, volunteers, farmers and millions of ordinary Ukrainians - all people who work and help are our brave soldiers.  Each of them contributes to our victory.

Many thanks to all of you! Many thanks to such heroes as Ruslan!
