Confederation students are continuing the winning streak!  This is the fifth consecutive year that a recent graduate of the Medical Radiation Technology (MRT) Program at Confederation College, was the winner of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology (CAMRT) Scientific Paper Award in the student category. This year was extra impressive as we had two winners!

Cameron Padovese won the Narrative Paper category with his research paper titled, “The Potential Application of Photo-acoustic Imaging in Stem Cell Tracking”. And Brooklyn Petrunack won the Scientific Paper category for her research paper titled, “ The Effectiveness, Longevity, Weight and Toxicity of Traditional Lead Shielding Used in Diagnostic Imaging vs Tungsten Functional Paper for Radiation Protection Purposes.”

It is very astounding to win recognition for research at a National level!

Congratulations to both Cameron and Brooklyn!
