Buildings Cooling to Heating Transition in Shoulder Season

Fall is here, cool nights and warm to hot days.  This is commonly called the shoulder season where we see large swings in outside temperatures within 12 hours periods.

We have shut down the chillers in the buildings and they are starting to warm up. We are preparing to turn on the boilers in the coming weeks but it is too early at this point.  Looking at just the next seven day forecast we are still in store for temperatures in the 20oC and low teens in the evening.

Dressing in layers is a great strategy during the shoulder seasons.  Please be patient during this time as we manage the building environment as the season progresses.
