Admission Requirements

Postsecondary Program:

The minimum admission requirement for post secondary programs is one of the following:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  • General Educational Development (GED)
  • Successful completion of Mature Student Assessment
  • Appropriate credits from the Academic and Career Entrance program (ACE).

Non-Postsecondary Programs:

The minimum admission requirement for non-postsecondary programs is one of the following:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  • Nineteen (19) years of age or older, or approval from a Program Officer

Prerequisites

Course prerequisites: Some courses require prerequisites to be completed before registering. Please make sure that you have successfully completed the applicable prerequisite courses to avoid problems with the course material and/or with your transcript.

Office Hours

Winter Hours:

After Labour Day long weekend to Victoria Day weekend:  Monday to Thursday:  8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday:  8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Note: March 14-18 (March Break), 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Summer Hours:

After the Victoria Day weekend to Labour Day weekend - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

Course Fees

Total fees (including material fees, if applicable) are required at time of registration. Your registration receipt should be taken to your first class.

The 65 Advantage: Reduced tuition fees apply to individuals who are 65 years of age or older. Course tuition fees marked with a * in the Key are eligible. (i.e. $177.00*) For more information call 475-6550.

Online Learning courses are not eligible for the 60 Advantage.

Parking (Thunder Bay)

Parking permits are required weekdays from 8 am - 5 pm.

Cancelled Courses and Refund Policy

Every effort will be made to notify you by phone (to number provided upon registration) or email (provided upon registration) if your course is cancelled. Full course fees will be refunded if courses are cancelled by Confederation College.

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

A $20.00 administrative fee will be charged on all withdrawals from part-time courses.

Part-time Withdrawal (courses over 24 hours in duration)

One-day workshop, weekend course and courses up to 24 hours in duration

  • Your request must be submitted by email to ce@confederationcollege.ca two business days before the start date of the course.

Online Learning Withdrawal

  • Your request must be submitted by email to onlinelearning@confederationcollege.ca by noon, no later than two weeks after the scheduled start date of your course.  Please refer to your online learning information email for actual date.

Holidays

The College will be closed:  

Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day and from noon on December 22, 2017 to January 2, 2018 inclusive.
