Course Development and Curriculum Modification

Course and program reviews are integral to keeping curriculum current with college, community and industry needs in order to better serve our students as they progress through their program of studies to graduation. This process ensures that we offer quality programming to support students in achieving their academic goals. The information below outlines changes that may occur over time for both courses and programs, as well as the relevant approval processes. The academic area is responsible for the development and approval of new or revised courses.

Course Development

Course Development is a routine responsibility of academic areas throughout the year. Courses are developed or revised through one of our three processes, New Program Development (NPD), Annual Program Review (APR), and Comprehensive Program Review (CPR).

Below are tip sheets designed to provide a resource for creating or revising course outlines. Please contact the Academic Quality Assurance Team at any time for assistance.
