Anwebiiwining, Confederation College's Indigenous Gathering Outdoor Space (CCIGO), honours the land, air and water, by providing an accessible outdoor area for gatherings, learning and reflecting. It is designed to be a flexible space to share and learn Indigenous traditions, honour history, and stand as a symbol of our journey toward decolonized education and reconciliation.

Decolonized Education refers to an approach that seeks to challenge and change the dominance of Western educational practices and perspectives. It aims to incorporate Indigenous world views, knowledge, perspectives, and teaching methods, fostering a more inclusive and equitable educational environment.

The space includes a circular gathering area symbolizing unity and equality, fire bowls for gatherings and cooking, a traditional medicine garden, stone seating, a pergola inspired by Indigenous structures, and an accessible boardwalk connecting different areas.
