Thunder Bay, ON, September 29, 2023 – Confederation College is excited to announce that the Thunderhawks Men's Golf Team, under the helm of Coach David Reid, will be competing at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Provincial Golf Championships from October 1-4, 2023. The Championship will be hosted by St. Clair College at the Ambassador Golf Club in Windsor, Ontario.

The team is well-rounded with a blend of experienced players and fresh talent, including veterans Tyler Konopski, Adam Maenpaa, and Griffen Wiersema, as well as newcomers Callum Richter and Connor Lind.

The Thunderhawks have been diligently preparing for the upcoming season with immense support from Strathcona, Chapples, Fort William, and Whitewater Golf Courses. Their collective efforts are expected to bring a high level of quality to the Championships.

#1 ranked golfer, Tyler Konopski, shares his enthusiasm, “I’m definitely looking forward to this year’s OCAA Championships at this premier golf club. Golfing at last year’s Championship, along with training this year, has prepared Adam, Griffen, and I for the high level of golf action expected at these Championships. With the addition of Callum and Connor, our Thunderhawks should be able to hold our own.”
