Two of our Thunderhawks Cross Country Runners, Jamie Kovacic & Tony Elikana, qualified to compete at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association’s National Championships in Truro, NS.  Dalhouise AC hosted this year’s prestigious event (first time in 13 year’s these Championships have been held an Atlantic Province).

Jamie Kovacic ran an incredible race matching her OCAA time of 23:46 on a noticeably more technical 6km course. This all out effort clinched 18th place out of 99 strong competitors!! Kovacic was the 2nd Ontarian to cross the finish line.  It was amazing to witness! Congratulations and well done Jamie!

Finishing in 41st place out of 89 competitors at his first national championships and his 3rd race ever, Tony Elikana is a rising star! Tony was able to improve on his OCAA time by 12 seconds, finishing 8km in 27:18. Keep up the good work Tony!

This wraps up a successful season of XC running at Confederation College. Enjoy the off season and we look forward to running with you again in the new year!

Way to Go Thunderhawks!!! You have done Confederation Proud!!!
