About the NPTI Bridge

The Nursing Program Transformation Initiative (NPTI) is a province-wide online bridge designed for Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) who want to pursue advanced standing in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program.

The pathway prepares RPNs for entry into year 3 of a BScN program through standardized online courses. The bridge is flexible and accessible, with online delivery, 24/7 access to course materials, and support from facilitators.

Why Choose Confederation College?

Confederation College offers the Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing program with:

  • Small class sizes for more personalized learning.
  • Modern simulation labs and early clinical placements.
  • Curriculum that integrates Northern and Indigenous perspectives.
  • Access to regional training opportunities in Thunder Bay and surrounding communities.

The program has received full approval from the College of Nurses of Ontario to admit students through both direct-entry and RPN-to-BScN pathways.

Eligible domestic students may also apply for the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant, which provides funding in exchange for a commitment to work in the region after graduation.
