Northwest Employment Works (NEW), a service of Confederation College, will host its Annual New Beginnings Spring Job Fair on Wednesday, May 6, at the Memorial Arena in Dryden.

Running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event will bring together job seekers and employers from across the region’s diverse industries. Designed to support workforce development and career exploration, the job fair offers opportunities to connect with local businesses, explore current job openings, and speak with employment professionals for guidance.

“A job fair is more than an opportunity for employment. It connects talent with opportunity and supports the growth of our communities,” said Angelina Anderson, Director, Western Campuses, Confederation College.

“This event is a valuable opportunity for job seekers to build meaningful connections and learn more about opportunities in our region,” said Carol Diehl, Employment Advisor at Northwest Employment Works’ Dryden office. “It also allows employers to meet potential candidates and highlight the roles they are seeking to fill.”

Employers from the retail, health care, skilled trades, and public service sectors are expected to attend. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their résumés and to dress professionally. The event is free and open to the public.

The New Beginnings Spring Job Fair is part of Northwest Employment Works’ ongoing commitment to connecting people with employment opportunities and to supporting community economic growth throughout northwestern Ontario.
