Negahneewin Outdoor Classroom & Fire Pit

The Negahneewin Outdoor Classroom includes the fire pit, gazebo, wood bins, tipi (when installed) and the benches around the fire pit. The space engages students in traditional methods of teaching and learning, by connecting them to the land and the elements.

The Outdoor Classroom is a great way for faculty to change up how they deliver course content and engage with students! Staff can also use this space to meet with other staff members, to have a fun space to get to know others and engage with other employees.

Examples of potential uses include ceremonies, classes, teaching, parties and events to engage and connect with others, and more!
