Confederation College, Rainy River District Campus partnered with Seven Generations Education Institute along with the United Native Friendship Centre and the Rainy River District School Board to offer a Dual Credit course, GE080 Foods of the Americas to students at the secondary school level.  This college led dual credit course gave students the opportunity to earn a credit towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma as well as a college credit towards a college certificate or diploma program.

Thank you to Gordon Matheson, our amazingly talented professor and chef who kept our students engaged, focused and well fed!  Some of the dishes they cooked included: three sisters stew, homemade wild berry coulis, turkey burgers with homemade buns, peanut brittle, and chocolate sushi!

Congratulations to the students who worked hard to earn their dual credit, and for some of those students, this dual credit course was the final course to earning their Ontario Secondary School Diploma!

We would like to thank our partners, Seven Generations Education Institute, the United Native Friendship Centre and the Rainy River District School Board for working together to offer this wonderful opportunity for the students.
