The Northwestern Ontario Regional Science Fair (NWORSF) is dedicated to fostering a love of science, technology, engineering and math in Northwestern Ontario. The all-volunteer organization operates a two-day science fair each spring, designed to give students the opportunity to develop and showcase skills for scientific investigation. Students from grades 4 to 12 from across the region are eligible to participate.

The School of Engineering Technology, Trades, & Aviation partnered with Recruitment to host a College information table at this year's event on April 19.  The event was hosted at LU's Bora Laskin Building, and was the first in-person fair since the COVID pandemic. As you can see in the picture, the table was quite busy. I'm sure that we convinced more than a few students and parents to think about the College in future plans.

Lesley Dell (Civil Engineering) was the driving force behind the table with volunteers Erin McCrae (Recruitment), Greg Gagnon (Aerospace Manufacturing), and Malek Alsmadi (Computer Programming). Raquel Glavish (Civil Engineering and Math) and Chris Von Bargen (Manufacturing) volunteered as Judges. Raquel will also be a keynote speaker at the awards ceremony on Saturday April 22.
