Overview

The Medical Transcriptionist program helps you develop the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills required of a medical transcriptionist - a professional who translates the spoken word of physicians and other healthcare workers into written reports.  Using simulated case studies as part of the training, this program focuses on communication, skills and transcription techniques.

You gain an understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, grammar, and word processing software in order to prepare for work in a hospital, clinic or other healthcare setting.
