Stay on top of important dates throughout the application and admissions process. This page highlights the key deadlines for applying, confirming your offer, paying tuition, and registering for classes.

Application Deadlines

Equal Consideration Dates

Applications submitted by these dates receive first consideration for available seats:

• February 1 – Fall programs (domestic applicants)
• March 1 – Winter programs (domestic applicants)

Offer and Confirmation Deadlines

Earliest Offer Date

First-round offers for oversubscribed programs may begin on:

• February 1

Confirmation Deadlines

To keep your seat, you must confirm your offer by:

• May 1 – Fall programs
• November 6 – Winter programs
• April 1 - First year students (Spring)

Tuition Deposit & Fee Payment Deadlines

Once you confirm your offer, the following payments are required to secure your place:

Tuition Deposit (non-refundable)

• Due mid-June for Fall entry (June 16 for 2025–26)
• Due mid-December for Winter entry (December 16 for 2025–26)

Final Tuition Fee Payment

• Early August for Fall programs (August 5 for 2025–26)
• Early December for Winter programs (December 8 for 2025–26)
• Early April for Spring programs (April 6 for 2026)

Registration Opening Dates

Web registration opens at different points in the year:

• Fall Registration Opens – Late July (July 21 for 2025–26)
• Winter Registration Opens – Early December (December 1 for 2025–26)
• Spring Registration Opens – Early April

Students must have paid their tuition or secured approved funding (OSAP, sponsorship, etc.) to register.

First Day of Classes

Most programs begin as follows:

• Fall – First week of September
• Winter – First week of January
• Spring – First week of May

Some programs begin earlier or later. Orientation details are sent directly to students and posted through the student portal.

Add/Drop, Refund, and Withdrawal Deadlines

For most standard semester programs:

• Refund deadline – Within the first 10 business days
• Last day to add or change courses – First 10 business days
• Withdrawal without academic penalty – About two-thirds into the term
• Transfer credit deadline – Mid-semester

Convocation-Related Dates

Convocation events typically occur in early to mid-June across all Confederation College campuses.

Important dates each year include:

• Posting of potential graduate lists – April 1
• Campus convocation ceremonies – June (Thunder Bay and regional campuses)
