In this course, learners will become cyber safe by increasing their awareness of cyber threats. By studying key areas, learners will gain an understanding of the most commonly encountered cyber threats in the online world today. Learners will study recent cybersecurity incidents and the consequences suffered by the victims, gain basic knowledge of cybersecurity terminology, and gain an understanding of who the bad actors are, what motivates them and what their preferred methods of attack are. Perhaps most importantly, learners will develop the ability to recognize a cyber threat when they encounter one and to follow recommended best practices for responding to it safely. Further, learners will gain knowledge of reputable online resources to help them remain cyber safe long after completing this course.

In this course, learners will increase their awareness and understanding of the most common cyber threats that enterprise networks are exposed to today. This will be accomplished by examining a variety of relevant topics, such as basic cybersecurity terminology, recent cybersecurity incidents and the consequences suffered by the victims, understanding who the bad actors are, what motivations them and what their preferred methods of attack are. Most importantly, this course examines the recommended best practices and measures that enterprise networks should take to keep themselves safe from cyber threats.

In this course, students will learn the key concepts, components, and of the LCNC Solution, as well as the most common use cases for LCNC. A basic overview of key computer programming and application development concepts, with a special focus on LCNC solutions, will also be included. Students will be introduced to popular LCNC development platforms and tools. Additional topics that will be addressed include data stewardship, privacy, and security. Students will be able to build an introductory LCNC Skill level.

Areas such as leadership, planning, operations, customer and performance will be reviewed. Pursuing this standard for certification in an organization will also be explored. This course introduces key concepts of AI, including machine learning, natural language processing, and data-driven insights, in an easy-to-understand format. Educators will explore practical ways to use AI tools to improve student engagement, personalize learning, and streamline administrative tasks.

This asynchronous course introduces learners to venture design using the Lean Startup methodology, with a practical focus on the Lean Business Model Canvas and Lean Analytics. Participants will learn how to systematically design, test, and refine a new venture by identifying customer problems, developing value propositions, and making data-driven decisions at each stage of startup development. Through short lectures, guided readings, and applied exercises, learners will iteratively build and validate a business model while learning how to identify the right metrics at the right time. Core concepts from Lean Analytics—including startup stages, the One Metric That Matters (OMTM), actionable metrics, and experimentation—are integrated throughout the course to help learners measure progress and reduce risk. By the end of the course, participants will have developed a validated Lean Business Model Canvas, designed a minimum viable product (MVP) and experimentation plan, and articulated a metrics-driven venture pitch. This course is designed to introduce the students to the tools, calculations, and methods of assistant surveying related to architecture, engineering and construction. (AEC) Students will use pacing, compass, steel tape, GPS automatic level, laser level, electronic theodolite, to measure and layout design features, as well as importing survey data to digital layouts in AutoCAD. Provide vital surveying skills and tools to support the regions construction and development sector.

Trail Management encompasses the administrative side of trails. This course includes business, planning, budgeting, marketing and promotion, law, risk, and volunteer management.

The objective of this course is to provide participants with a firm understanding of the fundamentals of trail design for both hard surface and naturally surfaced trails of various user types. It covers trail construction and maintenance while increasing essential knowledge about the ecosystem and natural heritage. You will learn about trail systems and user management along with all relevant provincial legislation.

This course will introduce students to safety and training, including tools used for trail stewardship, and basic trail building techniques. You will be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of ground trail environments, trail tread, site preparation and construction elements. A look into trail food and nutrition will also be covered.
