Applying to Confederation College is easy! Follow the steps below to make sure you complete the right application and meet all deadlines.

Step 1: Check Program Availability

Before you start, check which programs are still accepting applications.

You can see up-to-date program status for Winter 2026, Spring 2026 and Fall 2026 on our Program Availability page.

Programs may be listed as Open, Waitlisted, Closed, or Suspended.

Step 2: Choose the Right Application Route

There are two main application routes — one for domestic applicants and one for international applicants.

Canadian and Indigenous Applicants

Apply online through ontariocolleges.ca(opens in new window).

  • You can choose up to five programs (no more than three at any one college).
  • There is a $150 non-refundable application fee.

Equal consideration deadlines:

  • Fall intake: Applications received by 11:59 p.m. on February 1
  • Winter intake: Applications received by 11:59 p.m. on March 1
  • Many programs continue to accept applications after these dates if space is available.

International Applicants

If you live outside of Canada, apply through our International Education Centre.

They’ll guide you through admission requirements, document submission, and study permit support.

Step 3: Gather Your Documents

Before submitting your application, have your documents ready.
Typical items include:

  • Official transcripts (high school, college, or university)
  • Proof of residency (if applicable)
  • English language test results (for international students)

If you’re missing any documents, contact Admissions to discuss your options.

Step 4: Submit and Track Your Application

Once you’ve applied:

  • Watch for email updates from ontariocolleges.ca(opens in new window) and Confederation College Admissions
  • Check your Confederation College Self-Service (SSB) portal for updates on your application and missing requirements
  • If your program fills quickly, you may be placed on a waitlist - we’ll notify you as spots open

Step 5: Watch for Your Offer of Admission

Offers begin going out in early February for Fall programs and continue until programs are full.

If you receive an offer, you’ll find it in your ontariocolleges.ca account and in your email.

To secure your seat:

  1. Confirm your offer online at ontariocolleges.ca before the deadline.
  2. Pay your tuition deposit by the date listed on your Offer of Admission.

Step 6: Plan Your Next Steps

After confirming your offer:

  • Review important dates and deadlines
  • Make your tuition payment
  • Register for your classes once registration opens
  • Set up your Confederation College email and student portal
