All the costs of operating our parking lots - snow clearing, painting, lighting, and repairs, are shared by those who park on our property. We fund everything through the sale of parking permits and the collection of parking meter revenue.
All vehicles parked on College property require a valid parking permit, either a day pass purchased at an entry dispenser, a longer-term permit, or money in the meter. Parking permits are required at all times while parked on College property from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Outstanding parking tickets must be paid before purchasing a permit.

How to Purchase a Parking Permit
- Visit the Confederation College website.
- Log into your college portal(opens in new window).
- Go to Launch Pad.
- Select the Parking icon from the left menu.
- Select Parking Pass Information.
- Choose your permit type, enter your licence plate number, agree to the Traffic and Parking Regulations, and complete payment.

- Online using payroll deduction in Banner - for College employees only
Permit Pick-Up
- Special Permit Location - Orientation:
Student Lounge - September 8th and 9th, 2026 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Note: At this special location, only prepaid and online credit card payment options are available. - All Other Times:

- Your receipt will be sent to your College email account.
- If you have existing parking tickets on your account, you will not be able to purchase a parking permit until the outstanding tickets have been paid.
- Parking passes are not valid until picked up and displayed in your vehicle.
- Apprentices are not required to apply online. Instead, come to Facilities Services (Shuniah B106).
Where to Park
- Green Permit: Any green parking lot
- Blue Permit: Blue lot (with winter electrical plug-in service) and any green lot.
- Red Permit: Wellness Centre Parking Lot A and green lots.
Some reserved parking locations on campus require specific passes, including the Child Care Centre and Northwest Innovation Centre. Please check signage.

Accessible Parking
Barrier-free parking spaces are located in most parking lots on campus.
- Non-metered accessible spaces: You'll need a green Confederation College parking permit and either a Ministry of Transportation Accessible Parking Pass or a College Special Parking Pass.
- Metered accessible spaces: You'll need to have money in the meter and an MTO Accessible Parking Pass or a College Special Parking Pass.
Paying Parking Tickets
Tickets can be paid online through your SSB Banner account using a credit card:
- Log in to the My Campus Portal(opens in new window) and click on the Parking icon.
- Click on the Parking tab.
- Select Parking Ticket Information.
- Select View.
- Select Continue with Payment.
- Once tickets are paid, pick up your parking permit at Facilities Services, Shuniah B106. Parking permits are not valid until issued and displayed.
Early Payment Discount: If tickets are paid within 2 business days, the reduced fee will be reflected in the online payment system.
Refunds and Replacement Permits
- Refunds are available only for 12-month, 8-month, and 4-month permits.
- No refunds are available for day permits, monthly permits, replacement permits, multiple permits, or Smart Card entries.
- A $10 administration fee applies to eligible refund requests.
- Lost or Stolen Permits may be replaced for a fee in most circumstances.
- Damaged permits are replaced at no charge when the damaged permit is returned.
Parking Rules & Enforcement
We Issue Parking Tickets
Because we expect everyone who shares the use of our parking lots to pay their share, we issue parking tickets to vehicles that are not in compliance with the parking permit and meter requirements of our Traffic and Parking Regulations. We also issue parking tickets for other reasons — for example, if you park on the lawn or on a pedestrian crosswalk.
Towing
Vehicles with more than 2 unpaid outstanding parking tickets are subject to being towed from College parking lots at any time. Please don't ignore your tickets, as towing can be very costly: you'll need to pay your outstanding tickets, pay the towing company, and then obtain a parking permit in order to continue parking on campus.
Account Holds
Failure to pay traffic or parking fines within the time specified on the face of the ticket may result in the placement of an encumbrance/hold on the operator and/or owner's student or employee account.
Authorized Use & Permit Rules
- The only authorized sales agent for Confederation College parking permits is Confederation College Public Safety.
- Permit-holders are not allowed to re-sell, loan, or transfer their permits to anyone else for any reason. Permits are exclusive to the individual named in the application only.
- Vehicles with fraudulent parking passes will result in immediate towing from campus.

Discussing Your Ticket
If you get a parking ticket and you don't understand why you received it, please email your concern to parking@confederationc.on.ca and we can schedule an appointment for discussion. You are also welcome to come in and discuss it with us at our office in Shuniah Room B106 (Facilities Services). We'd be happy to help you solve the problem so that you don't get another ticket.
