Locker Regulations
Authorized Renters
Current students and employees of the College may rent a locker, provided that they have a Banner ID.
Renters who cease to be members of the College community during the rental period will no longer be entitled to the use of the rented locker, but may make application for a refund.
Locker Use
Locker use is restricted to the registered renter for the specified rental period. Sharing lockers or lock combinations with others is not permitted.
Use at Own Risk
The Locker Rental Program is not responsible for items stored in lockers. Users are responsible for their belongings, and lockers are used at the renter’s own risk. Confederation College assumes no liability for stored items.
Authorized Locks
All lockers in the Locker Rental Program come with assigned locks that remain the property of the College.
The College-owned lock must be left on the locker at the end of the rental period. If the lock supplied by the College is not left on the locker at the end of the rental period, the renters’ account will be charged an additional $10.
Personal locks placed on lockers in the Locker Rental Program will be removed.
Unauthorized Use of Lockers
If you take possession of a locker that is included in the Locker Rental Program, without first renting it, your lock will be cut and your items will be removed, without notice, during the first two weeks of each semester, or with 24 hours’ notice after the first two weeks of the rental period.
Key Fobs
Key fobs assigned to individuals renting lockers in change rooms remain the property of Confederation College. Key fobs must be returned at the end of the rental period.
If the key fob is not returned at the end of the rental period, the renters’ account will be charged an additional $10 at the end of the rental period.
Unauthorized Storage
Flammable materials, dangerous chemicals, explosives, weapons, alcohol, drugs and drug paraphernalia are strictly prohibited inside lockers and / or change rooms.

- if there is reason to believe that the locker contains items listed above in “Unauthorized Storage”;
- if there is a safety or environmental concern (such as evidence of pests or vermin, or the presence of unpleasant odours);

With the exception of items that are required as part of an on-going investigation by the College and/or Police, the contents of lockers that have had their locks cut off prior to the end of the rental period will be removed immediately and will be stored for a period of 30 days. After 30 days, all such items, with the exception of government documents, will be donated or disposed of. Government documents will be turned over to the Thunder Bay Police Service.
