Emergency Funding
For emergency funding at Confederation College, an emergency is considered to be an unexpected event, not re-occurring or due to regular wear and tear. Students are expected to provide supporting documentation to verify the circumstances of their emergency.
For example:

- Medical documentation
- Proof of insurance denial
- Death certificate or obituary
Examples of items that would not be considered include the following (but are not limited to):
- Regular living expenses (rent, utilities, phone, internet, daycare)
- Tuition and regular school expenses (books, equipment, laptops, computers, electronic devices)
- Debt (credit card balance, outstanding tuition fees, car payments, past due bills, rent arrears, OSAP overpayments/restrictions)
- Regular wear and tear items (e.g. vehicle repairs/maintenance, clothing, appliances, household maintenance)
- Health and dental items covered by your student healthcare plan or OHIP
- Expenses to support extended family who are not legal dependents
