Mental Health
In this course, students will learn about the major mental illnesses occurring in children and adults. This course will introduce students to the personal and structural issues confronting people who have mental illnesses. Students will explore the historical, political and legal context of mental health practices in Canada. Students will also examine pharmacological and psychosocial interventions for individuals using a recovery based model.
