Study the principles of indexing including indexing types and rules, and creation of abstracts. Explore the principles of subject analysis including thesauri and Library of Congress Subject Headings. Computer Software Requirements: CINDEX v.4 Demo version. Students can download for free. Instructions will be provided in the course. Prerequisite: OL423 Resource Description and Access II
