Power Systems II
This course continues the student's studies of power systems from EL-506 Industrial Power Systems, focusing on the practical study of a power distribution grid, including electrical generation, transmission and distribution. The students will study various substation configurations, including the various components included within. Students will explore the concepts associated with protection of the various system components, with an introduction to fault current calculations utilizing the per-unit method. The student will understand the need for power system maintenance and testing.
