Automation Control Systems III Lab
This course allows the student to become familiarized with the tools, test equipment, and manufacturers instructions as they apply to configuration, calibration, interconnections and operation of industrial process control components and systems. The operating characteristics of process transmitters and final control elements are examined and transfer functions are experimentally determined. Students will then be able to configure and tune digital controllers and DCS systems for a variety of process control situations. Students then use software tools to tune control systems based on mathematical models.
