Machines & Drives I

This course introduces the operation, analysis, and application of electrical machines and drive systems. Students study the fundamentals of magnetism and electric generation, along with the performance characteristics of DC and AC machines. Emphasis is placed on configuring and troubleshooting DC and PWM AC drives, interpreting technical data, and applying safe work practices. Laboratory activities reinforce practical skills in installation, operation, and testing of rotating electrical equipment using industry-standard tools and methods.
