EL-343
Power Systems I
This course introduces the fundamental principles of electrical power systems, including AC circuit behavior, magnetism, transformers, and three-phase systems. Students analyze voltage, current, power, and power factor, and apply mathematical methods to solve electrical problems. Emphasis is placed on single-phase and three-phase transformer operation, system configuration, and code-based calculations. Laboratory activities reinforce safe work practices, measurement techniques, and the analysis of electrical power equipment and systems.
