Industrial Data Networks

This course introduces industrial data communication systems used in automation and control. Students examine data transmission methods, serial communication standards, and network architectures. Emphasis is placed on configuring and troubleshooting industrial networks, including cable installation, termination, splicing, and testing of UTP and fibre-optics, as well as implementation of Modbus, Modbus TCP and Ethernet IP networks.
