Community CoursesPD Day Kitchen Wizards
These basic or intermediate courses course for youth 11-16 will build on your kitchen skills and take your cooking to the next level. This hands-on course is designed for youth who are comfortable with basic cooking techniques and want to expand their confidence, creativity, and independence in the kitchen.
Participants will learn more advanced food preparation methods, knife skills, cooking techniques, and kitchen organization while preparing a a meal. Students will explore flavour combinations, food safety, nutrition, and ingredient selection while working both independently and as part of a team.
- This is an application and your child will not be officially registered until you are contacted by our CE department and payment is received. You will receive an email notifying you when your child is registered
- Workshop location & information will be emailed to you directly prior to the start of a course.
- Supervision for youth courses only occur during scheduled times. Please ensure prompt drop off and pick up as the youth will be unsupervised outside of these hours.
- All registrations are subject to applicable taxes.
- This is an intermediate workshop. Your child must have previous experience through one of our CE workshops or through proven experience.”
