Advanced Nursing Concepts Lab
This course prepares senior nursing students for entry-to-practice through advanced laboratory and simulation experiences across a variety of settings. Students will demonstrate increasing independence, leadership, and clinical judgment while managing complex simulated health scenarios. Multiple simulation modalities, including high-fidelity, communication-based, gamified, and technical skills simulations, support the integration of advanced assessment, pharmacotherapeutics, and culturally competent care. Emphasis is placed on interprofessional collaboration, evidence-informed practice, and person-centred care within laboratory and simulation learning environments.
