My two years in the DSW program at Confederation College were among the best years of my life. Combining the theory and practical learning allowed me to experience and promote inclusion, develop alternative communication and learning strategies, modify student academic learning, and support individual success. My College experience not only made me a better support worker but also prepared me in unpredictable ways for my employment opportunities. My professors and field placement supervisors encouraged me to pursue my passions and success in seeking employment. I was able to obtain employment immediately upon graduation and establish a fulfilling career. I have worked in a variety of related jobs while keeping close ties to the DSW program. Currently I am an Integration Facilitation with the Community Integration through Cooperative Education Program ant Confederation College. I enjoy having ties to the DSW program and keeping current on the trends in this inclusive, changing and diversified field.
