Having been out of school for 32 years, I felt lost. I entered the Academic Upgrading program in order to complete high school and gain entry into post-secondary. With the guidance of the Academic Upgrading program staff, the knowledge of the teachers, I was able to advance quickly through the program and entered into post-secondary in September of 2014. I have now graduated (with honours) from Human Resources and will graduate in June 2017 from Business Administration. I have come full circle as a student, as I am completing my Work Placement with the Academic Upgrading program. The curriculum has changed, but the dedication and devotion of the staff and students has not. As a mature student, I would not have succeeded in my studies without the guidance and support of the Academic Upgrading program.
