What I Liked Most About Confederation College

I can honestly say that my favourite part about Confederation College encompasses the aspects of the MRT program. The program itself is hands-on and engaging, and is challenging but truly rewarding. My instructors, Nancy Hodder and Melanie Edison, are truly remarkable individuals, who are intelligent and kind. They provided me with valuable knowledge and skills needed in my future career, and have guided and assisted me towards my educational and career goals. Furthermore, my peers are the most amazing individuals I have ever met, and I can honestly say I have made life-long friendships within this program. Since the class size is smaller, we all became close very quick, and have helped and supported each other along the way. In addition, the classroom is clean and inviting, with all types of equipment and accessories necessary to make learning more hands-on and engaging. The past two-years have been nothing but rewarding, and I can honestly say I have picked the right program and college to attend and the right future profession. I am so honoured to have been accepted into this pristine program, and feel truly grateful to have met such amazing individuals, such as my instructors and my peers. I will cherish the memories I have made within this program forever, and I will never forget the knowledge and individuals I have met along the way.

How and Why I Choose Confederation College

I chose Confederation College as my post-secondary education institute because it offered a highly-accredited and praised MRT program, with excellent resources. It also offered a small class size with more personalized learning experience.

How Confederation College Helped Me to Achieve My Educational Goals

New windows have opened up for me during my time at Confederation College within my education and career goals. I have met some amazing individuals from around Thunder Bay and the surrounding areas of Ontario during clinical placement, conferences, events, and guest speakers. I have also gained more confidence in my knowledge, skills, and judgement through clinical placements. I have acquired a short-term placement at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, with the help of my Program Coordinator and instructors. This placement will hopefully allow me to gain skills in paediatric imaging to aid in my career goal of working in a paediatric hospital.

What I Would Like to Do After I Graduate

After I graduate from the MRT program, I hope to upgrade my education in CT and Angiography, I also hope to pursue a career in a paediatric hospital, as I enjoy working with and helping children and their families.
