Domestic Student Health & Dental Plan
All full-time domestic post-secondary students at Confederation College are enrolled in the Student Health & Dental Plan and are covered from September 1 – August 31. The plan, administered by SUCCI, provides affordable health insurance designed especially for students on fixed incomes. Health Plan Options
#1 Opt-Out of the Plan
If you are covered under another comparable health insurance plan, you may opt-out of the SUCCI Extended Health Plan by providing proof of other coverage.
Please visit Wespeakstudent(opens in new window) website and complete the online opt-out form. Please be aware that you will need to provide proof of similar coverage elsewhere (ie. as a dependent under your parent’s or spouse’s insurance).
You will NOT be able to opt-out at any other point during this school year. (ie. if you are a September start student, you will not be able to opt-out of the plan in January.)
Fall Semester students may Opt-Out by Wednesday September 24th, 2025 by visiting Wespeakstudent(opens in new window) website
No exceptions will be allowed for those missing the opt-out deadline.

#2 Opt-In Family
Students may opt-in spouses and dependents for an additional fee. To be eligible, you must have current OHIP or equivalent coverage. Visit Wespeakstudent(opens in new window) website to Opt-In your Spouse/Dependents.

Cost:
One Dependent = $455
Two Dependents = $585
Three Dependents = $760
Four + Dependents = $980
You are only eligible to opt-in BEFORE the deadline date of your first semester.

#3 Flex Plan Option
Students are automatically enrolled in the recommended ‘BALANCED PLAN’. This offers you the best all around coverage. You can choose to change your plan benefits at no additional cost before the deadline date to either: Enhanced Vision & Prescription Plan or Enhanced Vision & Dental Plan. You must select your plan options prior to the deadline date at Wespeakstudent(opens in new window) website or you will automatically be enrolled in the Balanced Plan.
