How to Apply to Academic Upgrading

Getting started in Academic Upgrading is easy. Here’s what you can expect.

Academic Upgrading Intake Form

Thanks for your interest in Academic Upgrading!

  1. After you submit the Intake form below, we will follow up with you to book an appointment for you to meet with Erica, our Student Success Advisor.
  2. Erica will discuss the courses you need to meet your goals. Depending on what courses you need, she may register you for the Skills marker Assessment.
  3. Once you have finished the assessment, she will invite you to the next Orientation.
  4. Once the Orientation is complete, she will finish your registration and get you started in class.

Academic Upgrading is available online to

  • Students living in the catchment areas of the Greenstone and North Shore campuses
  • Students in other areas of Northwestern Ontario who are planning to attend a post-secondary or apprenticeship program at Confederation College
  • Students in Thunder Bay if they are eligible (please connect with us to discuss eligibility).
