Role & Responsibilities

Lori Anne Grant is a professor in the Dental Hygiene Program at Confederation College. Her responsibilities include designing, developing, and delivering courses, labs and clinics, while creating an inclusive learning environment that uses diverse teaching strategies and resources.

Professional Background

Lori Anne has been a dental professional for 30 years. Her career includes 3 years of clinical Dental Assisting, 21 years of clinical Dental Hygiene, and 13 years of combined part-time and full-time experience in education as a Professor and Oral Health Demonstrator.

Teaching

Lori Anne engages and evaluates students through multiple assessment methods while actively supporting their success by advising, coaching, and mentoring on coursework, careers, and advanced study.

Community Involvement

Lori Anne is a member of the Thunder Bay Dental Hygienists’ Society, Ontario Dental Hygienists’ Association, and Canadian Dental Hygienists Association.

Lori Anne was actively involved in advocacy and lobbying efforts for the expansion of the dental hygiene scope of practice for the Dental Hygiene profession.
