IV Access - RN

Opportunities for practicing of the concepts of intravenous access and maintenance in a lab and clinical setting are essential preparations for actual client care. This course focuses on principles of intravenous therapy, intravenous access and maintenance skills. The 6 hours of clinical experience (dates to be discussed first night of class) provide the RN with an opportunity to integrate the knowledge and skills learned in the theory and lab components of the class. NOTE: This course will be combined with WR333 - IV Therapy: RPN. Prerequisite: Active practicing RN license.
