Communications for Persons with Dementia

The goal of this session is to increase your understanding of dementia and to provide you with information and strategies to enhance your interactions with your clients living with dementia. This interactive session will cover an overview of Alzheimer Disease and related dementias, the brain changes associated with dementia and concepts of care. The emphasis will be on effective communication srategies for you, the caregiver, working in the community with clients who have Alzheimer Disease or a related dementia.
