Admin of Medications I Pharm
This theory and lab course serves as the introductory component of the RPN Administration of Medications Certificate Program. Within the context of the nursing process, the student will study the foundations of the pharmacology from a nursing perspective with specific reference to drug action and interaction; patient education and health promotion; relevant Canadian legislation/provincial nursing standards as they relate to the administration of medications; and theory related to the routs of medication administration within the scope of practice for the RPN. Prerequisite: CM310 and an Active Practicing RPN License. Materials required: Yes
